Child Life Specialist

Summary

The Child Life Specialist will work within the Emergency Department and is responsible for providing essential life experiences, family support & education to patients and families in the health care system. The child life specialist collaborates with other health care providers, as well as the community, to promote growth and development and facilitate positive adjustment for patients and families throughout the health care experience.

Schedule (PRN):   Fridays 2:00pm - 2:30am and availability to pick up shifts to provide coverage as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Child Life, Child Development, or similar field.
• Completion of Child Life internship.
• Certified Child Life Specialist, by exam, required within 1 year of hire.
• CPR - BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
