Cook Children's Medical Center and Healthcare System, based in Fort Worth, TX, has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Pediatric Hematologist to join our growing Hematology and Oncology Center to join our active Hematology Service. Currently, our 16 physicians and 12 nurse practitioners, as well as dedicated multi-disciplinary staff, treat over 80 strokes per year, see over 240 new cancer cases annually, and maintain a population of over 300 sickle cell syndrome patients. We have a very active outpatient practice and serve an expansive referral area including the Fort Worth Metro area, North Texas as well as East, Central and West Texas and the surrounding states. Our center is an active member of Children's Oncology Group (COG) and has active collaborations with multiple academic institutions, Phase I consortiums and pharmaceutical companies. Our Hematology Oncology center is very active in clinical research in Oncology, Hematology fields, including involvement in several international pediatric stroke and thrombosis studies. We are seeking an energetic BC/BE Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist with an interest in Thrombosis and Hemostasis, as well as a strong base in General Hematology to fill this position. Minimum Qualifications
Successful candidates will have completed an accredited pediatric specialty training program and be board certified/board eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. Must be qualified to obtain an unrestricted Texas Medical License before commencing employment.
