Summary
The Revenue Cycle Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day CBO operations, answering staff questions, assigning work, tracking work performance and managing time and attendance. Working under the direction of a department manager, the Revenue Cycle Supervisor assists with performance reviews, managing workload, resolving issues and improving operations.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years hospital or physician revenue cycle or 2 years experience working for a health plan in a capacity that pays claims, handles appeals and/or reviews contract terms.
- Ability to resolve complex claims by applying contract terms, reimbursement rules and payer and government policies and coverage guidelines.
- Knowledge of the coding and billing rules and how they impact reimbursement.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with various staff to get them to perform to their highest level.
- Knowledge of healthcare related financial and/or accounting practices.
- Ability to manipulate data using excel.
- Ability to deal effectively with constant changes and be a change agent.
- Detailed knowledge of health plan operations, reimbursement methodologies, payer contracts and clinical policies.
- Knowledge of state, federal and compliance regulations as they pertain to coding and billing processes and procedures.
- Prior experience with Epic Systems Revenue Cycle Solutions preferred.
