Cook Children’s Health Care System (CCHSC) in Fort Worth, Texas, has a dynamic opportunity for a full time board eligible/board certified Pediatric Palliative Care physician with experience in caring for children with serious, life-limiting medical conditions and their families. Experience/interest in hematology-oncology will be a plus. The successful candidate will join a growing, high functioning interdisciplinary team which includes two physicians, four PNPs, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Social Worker, two Clinical Therapists, an administrative secretary, and Program Administrator. We also closely work with robust Child Life and Spiritual Care teams at Cook Children’s. We are a consultative service within a large pediatric healthcare system, including a 477-bed tertiary care pediatric hospital with an average daily inpatient census of 20-30 patients. We also regularly see patients for new consults or follow-up visits on an outpatient basis. The team sees patients of all ages and all stages of disease. We follow patients with a diverse variety of medical conditions. Many of our patients are receiving concurrent care - integrating Palliative Care with curative, disease modifying, and life prolonging treatments. Good communication and collaboration skills, flexibility, and the desire to co-create and develop a growing Palliative Care program as part of an interdisciplinary team are desired qualities. Qualifications: Candidates must be board certified in pediatrics and BE/BC in Hospice and Palliative Medicine and eligible to secure an unrestricted Texas Medical License.

At nearly 1.6 million square feet, the campus serves as the main site of Cook Children’s Health Care System.
