Summary
The Specialty Pharmacy Supervisor oversees the Retail pharmacy medication management services. This individual has direct responsibilities for all operations of the related retail and specialty pharmacy programs. The Pharmacy Supervisor ensures optimal pharmaceutical care and patient experience for patients and families in addition to developing and maintaining relationships with clinical staff throughout the outpatient clinics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D degree required
- Minimum of either 3 years of pharmacist experience or completion of a community pharmacy residency is required
- One year experience leading a retail or specialty pharmacy team as a PIC or pharmacy manager preferred
- Texas Pharmacist License or eligible for Texas Licensure as a registered pharmacist
- Pharmacist and pharmacy preceptor licensure must be obtained within 90 days of eligibility
- Certified Specialty Pharmacist (CSP) or Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification required within one year of eligibility to sit for the exam after commencement of employment at Cook
