Summary
This is a night shift position with some variable shift work. The Senior ECMO specialist can be an RRT or RN. In addition to ECMO duties, this position will have bedside responsibilites. This person will assist the ECMO Manager in coordinating the care of the ECMO patient, as well as management of the ECMO program. He or she will aid in physician and team education as well as program development. Must be able to take on call when not scheduled at the Medical Center and respond to the Medical Center within defined time frame.
Education & Experience
Graduate of an accredited respiratory or nursing program with 2 years of ICU experience and a minimum of 1 year of ECMO experience. Knowledge of initiation of ECMO support is preferred but not required
