Cook Children's is seeking a full-time Psychologist for our NEST Center. The NEST Follow-up Center provides on-going support, planning and care coordination for high-risk NICU babies.  The Psychologist is responsible for administering test and interpreting psychological testing and scores with patients (ages 0-5 years). In addition, the psychologist will provide counseling for but not limited to test results and other factors that may influence the development of pediatric patient age 0-5. Opportunity to participate in developmental outcomes research for the NICU graduate patient population. Willingness to undergo training and certification on any new developmental, behavioral, or psychological assessment tools for future implementation.

Hours/Location:  Mon-Fri 8:30-5  Fort Worth, TX 

Required Education & Experience:

  • Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Training in child growth and development required.
  • Prior experience in pediatric setting, strongly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrates commitment to high standards of patient care and other customer relations practices.
  • Must be certified to conduct the Bayley Scales of Infant Development III and will be required to certify as new versions of Bayley Scales of Infant development are published.
  • Experience/comfortable performing other standardized developmental and behavioral testing from infancy through 5 years of age.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:

  • Licensed Psychologist in Texas
  • CPR/BLS certification prior to start
